Add a Secondary Axis to a Chart

Learn how to add a secondary axis to a chart's X or Y-axis.


1. Access the main Operator10 or Synexus application and click on the View ribbon to proceed.


2. Go to the Charts section and click on the Charts button to proceed.


3. The Charts application will open in a new window separate from the main Operator10 or Synexus application.


4.Select the Properties button located in the Properties section of the Chart ribbon.


5. The Chart Properties window will appear on top of the Chart application.


Adding a Secondary X- or Y-axis to a Chart


1. Within the Chart Properties window, locate and click on the Diagram button found in the Presentation group.



2. Select the Elements tab located in the Diagram pane on the far-right side of the window.


3. Select the Elements tab located on the right side of the pane.

4. You can choose to add either Secondary X-Axes or Secondary Y-Axes, and you have the option to add multiple secondary axes.


5. After adding a Secondary X-Axes or Secondary Y-Axes, it will be necessary to choose
which Series will be assigned to the secondary axes.
6. Click the Series View button under the Presentation group on the left-hand side of the
Chart Properties window.

7. The Series View pane with five tabs associated with settings and modifications will open
vertically on the far right-hand side of the Chart Properties window.


8. Select the Series from the drop-down menu which will be assigned to the new
Secondary X-Axes or Secondary Y-Axes at the top of the General tab.

9. In the Linked Elements section of the General tab, choose either Axis X: or Axis Y: to
assign the Series to


10. Then, choose the axis from the drop-down menu for either Secondary AxisX 1 or
Secondary AxisY 1.


11. At the bottom of the Chart Properties window, click the Finish button. The chart will
be constructed and will appear with the changes made in the Chart application.
12. Click the Save button in the Save section of the Chart ribbon to save the modifications
made to the chart
