Exploring the Attachments section of the Work Order Viewer
Documents can be associated with work orders, providing a convenient way to store and access important information such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manuals, and maintenance schedules. Users can browse for files during the addition process or select from the available Standard Forms.
Adding Attachments
To associate documents with equipment, please follow these steps:
Adding Attachments
1. To start the process of adding a document to the Documents folder within the Antero Storage path, click the [add] icon (represented as add_16x16).
2. Users will see a File Explorer window where they can either select a file to save or choose a Standard Form from the available Standard Forms List.
3 . Locate the desired file, select it, and then either click the Open button or double-click the file to add it to the Antero Storage path. If you are adding a Standard Form, simply highlight the form from the list and click the Select button.
4. The document is now successfully saved in the shared Documents directory, making it readily accessible to all users through the Documents pane.
Drag and Drop Documents
1. To add a document using the drag and drop method, open File Explorer and navigate to the document you wish to attach to the Antero database.
2 . Next, click and hold the left mouse button on the document, then drag it over to the Equipment Documents pane and release the mouse button to attach a copy of the document.
3. The document is now successfully saved in the shared Documents directory, making it easily accessible to all users through the Documents pane.
Opening Attachments
To access an attached document, double-click on the file displayed in the pane. Antero will automatically launch the appropriate program to open the document based on its file type.
You can also access a document by selecting it and clicking the Open selected document button, represented by a yellow folder icon. Antero will then launch the appropriate application for the file type, allowing you to view the attached document seamlessly.
Renaming Attachments
Documents in the Documents tab can be renamed effortlessly. To change the name of a document, please follow the steps outlined below.
1. To rename a document, first select the file you wish to change, and then click the [rename] icon.
2. The Rename Document window will appear on top of the Antero interface.
3. Modify the document's name in the Name field to ensure it is distinct, and then click the Save button to apply your changes.
4. The updated name will be displayed in the Documents pane, ensuring easy identification of the file.
Removing Attachments
1. To disassociate an attached document from the selected piece of equipment, click the [Delete] with a document selected.
2. When prompted with the Delete Document confirmation, select either Yes or No to proceed. Choosing Yes will permanently remove the associated document from the system.
