Apply Annotations and Point Labels to a Chart

Learn how to modify display properties for X- and Y-Axis values in Operator10 and Synexus Chart app, including default settings and additional axes.

Applying Annotations

1. Navigate to the Chart Properties window and locate the Annotations button within the Presentation group.



2. Select the General tab on the far-right side of the Annotations pane, then click on the Add button located below the Annotations list field.


3. A window will pop up prompting you to choose the type of annotation you want to add - either a Text Annotation or an Image Annotation.

4. A bubble for the annotation will show up in the Chart preview window. You can move this annotation bubble into position by holding down the left mouse button while pressing the Ctrl key.


5. Then, go to the Content tab to input the text for the Annotation. Simply type the text in the text box, and it will appear in the Annotation bubble. Repeat these steps to add multiple Annotations as needed.

Applying Point Labels
1. Select the Properties button located in the Properties section of the Chart ribbon.
2. Within the Presentation section located on the left side of the Chart Properties window, simply click on the Point Labels button.

3. After selecting the Point Labels General tab, click on the drop-down arrow to choose the Series to which the Point Labels will be added.


4. Once you have chosen the Series, make sure to tick the Visible checkbox on the General tab to ensure that all Point Labels are displayed on the chart. This will attach the data for the selected Series to the chart.

5. To adjust the decimal placement for the data, choose the Text Pattern tab located under the General tab.
6.Next, choose 'Value' under the Placeholders section and modify the Format to 'Number' from the drop-down menu.


7. You can adjust the position of the numbers by selecting from the options available in the scrollable list under Format.


8. When finished adding Point Labels, click the Finish button. To save changes made to
the Chart, click the Save button in the Chart ribbon.
