Create Templates for scheduled work orders

This article will guide you through using the Templates section to schedule work orders in Antero.

1. Access the Work Templates section in the top ribbon of the Antero application to begin setting up scheduled work orders.

2. Select the add button in the upper left corner.

3. Choose the equipment that you wish to create a scheduled work order for, then click on the Save button. Now, you have the option to choose a task that is already in existence, or you can create a new task.

When using the templates section to schedule a work order, please note that users can only assign one task to each piece of equipment.

4. Once you have created a Work Template, you will see a grid format list of your current templates on the left side for easy reference. If you just created the template, it will be automatically selected in the grid. If not, choose the equipment/task

6. You will need to decide what will trigger the Antero System to schedule a work order. There are three options, follow the directions below depending on what you need

For Calendar Schedules (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, etc):

1. Select the Scheduled Box

2. Select Calendar Type

3. Select the desired schedule for the Antero System to generate a work order.

You can select Dates to choose from specific dates of the month to schedule.

The example above indicates that the work order will be created every month on the first Monday of the month.

4. Select Change under Scheduling date and choose a date for when you would like the template to become active.

Scheduling date is not when the work order will be created but rather when the template will be set to an active status.

Next Forecast Date will populate and that is when your Work Order from that template will be created by the Antero System.

For Days In Service (Every 30 days or similar):

1. Select the Enabled box and enter the amount of days needed to create a work order.

2. Select the Scheduled box to activate the Template to Schedule Work Orders
3. Select Change, enter a Scheduling Date, and click Save.

Scheduling Date is the date which you would like the Days In Service counter to start counting.

If you are using the Calendar Type, Scheduling Date is when you would like the work order to become active.

4. You will notice that Next Forecast Date has populated a date.
This means that your work order will be created on this date.

For Instrument Readings (SCADA, Mileage, Gauges):

1. You will need to have added an instrument to the given equipment in the equipment section of the program. See the knowledge based articles for additional information.

2. There are two types of instruments that can be used to schedule a work order.

Meter: Set the interval to the value you want the meter to reach when it creates work.

Gauge: Creates work when a reading is outside of the Min and Max set for the template.

3. To schedule a Work Template by Instrument readings, start by checking the Scheduled box and then select the Days in Service/Instrument  button in the Types box.

4.  Then, click the blue Change link underneath the Scheduling Date heading to open the Change Scheduling Date form.

5. Enter the last known date on which the selected work order was last scheduled in the Scheduling Date field.  For new work templates, a past date or today's date would be acceptable.

6. Click Save

7.    Next, in the Schedule Options: Instruments group, check the Instrument(s) check box(es) which need to be used to generate work orders.  The work orders will be based upon the instruments current usage. Multiple meters and/or gauges can be used for template scheduling purposes.

8.  The Work Template is now scheduled by Instruments and will generate work orders off of the work template according to the defined schedule.

For Instrument Readings or Days in Service:

1. If both of these options are selected the Work Order will be created with whatever event occurs first.

2. Follow the steps above for both Instrument Readings and Days in Service.

3. Make sure that all of the appropiate boxes are checked.

4. Once setup with both steps from above, your work order will be scheduled based on an either/or.

It will schedule the work order if the readings/instruments  indicate that it is time to schedule or because X amount of days has past.
