How To: Create a Location:Parameter (L:P)

A Location:Parameter (L:P), is a container for values accepted by Operator10 that represents a tracked process parameter, such as Effluent:pH, or Influent:Total Suspended Solids.

1. Access the Setup ribbon in either the Operator10 or Synexus application to begin the process.


2. Navigate to the Location:Parameter section in the Setup ribbon, and select LP Setup followed by clicking on Location:Parameter from the drop-down list.


3. Click on the blue "Add Location:Parameter" button to start creating a new location parameter.


4. The Add New Location:Parameter window will open.

    a. Location: Enter a Location name.
    b. Provide a detailed description of the new Location to enhance understanding and clarity.
    c. Selecting a facility is required. To choose a facility, simply click on the '...' button, pick a          facility from the list, and then click the OK button to proceed.
    d. Select the parameter(s) you would like to add from the Parameter List by clicking on the Add button. Once you have chosen the parameter(s), click on the OK button to add them to the location parameter.
   

 Tech Tip: You can select multiple parameters from the Parameter List by clicking and dragging over the desired parameter or by holding down the Ctrl button on the keyboard and selecting nonsequential parameters with the mouse.

 
5. Press the Save button to save the newly created Location:Parameter(s).
6. The form will stay open, giving users the ability to keep creating Location:Parameters without interruption.
7. After creating all Location:Parameters, you can easily locate and edit them in the Location:Parameter section.
