Utilize the Work Management feature to view and manage upcoming work orders

This article will explain how to use the Work Management section to better forecast upcoming work. In previous versions, there was a separate forecast work order section. However, the Work Management section can now handle everything in one place.

1. Navigate to file in the top ribbon of the application.

2. Select Database Admin.

You will need database Admin Permissions.

3. Open Database Options.

You can edit how far out upcoming work orders will appear in the work management section.

This setting is known as 'Create Through Days.'' Simply put, the number of days you input here determines how far in advance the program looks from the current day to identify any pending work orders scheduled for completion.

Create Through Days
4. Select Change, enter the amount of days, and click save

Default Work Order Status:

This will be the status automatically assigned by the Antero system whenever a new Work Order is created.

You will have to set this to the custom Work Order Status you create from the instructions below.

Setting an 'Upcoming' Work Order Status

We suggest creating a custom status to prevent users in your organization from receiving upcoming work orders in their "My Work" section.

By utilizing this custom status in conjunction with the create through days setting, you can easily identify upcoming work orders and allocate them to specific users or maintenance groups by assigning a new status.

This custom status will automatically display the work order in the user's "My Work" section, enabling them to start their tasks promptly.

1. Select File from the top ribbon of the Antero application.

2. Open the Setup Tools Section and Select Work Lists Setup.

3. From the drop down menu select Work Status.

4. Use the + symbol to create a custom Work Order Status.

5. Enter a Work Status Name for your upcoming Work Orders.

If you prefer that upcoming work orders are not visible in your users' "My Work" section until you update the status, simply avoid selecting the option to display them as available work.

If you check the 'Show as Available Work' box for a custom status, it will be visible in your organization's maintenance groups or users' 'My Work' section.

It is recommended that only users responsible for managing Work Orders have visibility of upcoming work orders.

When you are prepared for work to begin, you should update the status to one that has the "Show as Available Work" box selected.

Viewing Upcoming Work Orders:

1. Navigate to the Work Management of the Antero Program.

2. Select the drop down option located to the right of the blue + symbol on the left.

Generating Scheduled Work Orders will display all work orders up to the customized Create Through Date that was set earlier in the article.

This demonstration illustrates upcoming Work Orders in the Work Management section without appearing in your users' My Work Section.

This provides a convenient method to monitor the progress of your work orders daily. Once you are set to commence work, simply assign the Work Order to a designated user or maintenance group and update the status to Active.
