Work Management Section

Work Management is a comprehensive system designed to streamline the creation, editing, distribution, and completion of work orders. This article provides a guide on managing work orders effectively using the Work Management interface.

The Work Management section is an incredibly powerful tool designed to help users manage their work orders with ease and efficiency. By leveraging its fully customizable features, users can streamline their workflow and complete tasks more quickly and effectively.

Creating a Work Order

To create a new work order, click the  add_16x16 [Add] button in the Work Order Management section. You must select the appropriate equipment and task from the list to proceed with the creation.

Create Scheduled Work Orders

Click the drop-down arrow next to the plus sign and choose the option "Create Scheduled Work Orders". This action will check your database options.

Editing Work Orders

The Edit function allows for multiple work orders to be modified simultaneously. Select the desired work orders in the grid, then click the Edit_Active.svg [Edit]  button. The edit window displays nine fields that can be updated. Note that saving changes will overwrite existing data in the work orders.

Deleting Work Orders

To remove work orders, simply select the desired records by checking the appropriate boxes, then click on the "Delete" option. It's important to double-check your selections to ensure that you are only deleting the records you intend to remove, preventing any unintentional loss of data.

Work Order Distribution

The Distribution option is activated once work orders are selected. This feature allows for the efficient allocation of tasks to the appropriate personnel or departments.

Completing Work Orders

Select the work orders to be completed and use the "Complete" option on the toolbar. This action finalizes the work orders and updates their status in the system.

Toolbar Options

  • Print: Print the entire grid or individual work orders.
  • Email: Send selected work orders via email. This option is enabled once records are selected.
  • Move to Review/History: Transition work orders to the review or history phase as needed.

Work Management Grid

The Work Management Grid is a central feature for managing work orders. It includes:

  • Selection Box: Use this to select records for actions like printing or emailing.
  • Delinquent Icon: A red icon indicates overdue work orders. Hover to view the delinquent date.
  • Needs Attention Icon: A yellow icon signals that a work order requires follow-up. Click to read the details.
  • Work Order Number: Click the hyperlink to view and enter completion data in the Work Order Viewer.
