Work Templates - Out Of Service

The Out of Service work template scheduling type is designed for equipment that is currently out of operation but still requires routine preventative maintenance. To generate maintenance work, the equipment must remain out of service for a specified number of consecutive days. If the equipment is returned to service before this duration is completed, the count will reset, and a new cycle will begin the next time the equipment is taken out of service.

To Schedule work by Out of Service Days

  2. Next, click on the blue "Change" link located beneath the Scheduling Date heading to access the Change Scheduling Date form.
  3. Enter the last known date on which the selected work order was last scheduled in the Scheduling Date field.  For new work templates, a past date or todays date would be acceptable.
  4. Click the SaveButton1 button in the upper right-hand corner of the form.
  5. Next, in the Schedule Options: Out of Service section, specify the number of days between each preventative maintenance schedule.
  6. The Work Template is now set to a calendar-based schedule, which will automatically create work orders in alignment with the established maintenance intervals.
